NTM

NTM means not too much. That is what today has been basicly. Right now I am listening to Wicked again. My next door neighbor went home at 11:30 this morning. We stayed up till 5 AM. It was so fun. Hezakiah claims that she was up all night with us. She actually crashed at about 2 AM. Then she went home at about 1 this afternoon. Well, not much going on now. So I'm going now.

Still Awake

It's almost 4 AM. Me and one of the Rachels are still awake (my neighbor is awake, Rachel Hezakiah crashed on the couch). I am burning CD's from her collection onto my computer (I think I have 5 so far) and listening to Wicked (I burned that. YAY!!) We watched Titanic at 9. Rachel Hezakiah was like cracking up at me and Rachel because we were both crying (I went through 10 tissues and she went through 3. Not even thinking of smurf boogers helped) So then at one part, all three of us were crying. So of course at this point, my mom calls, and I missed the call. So I call back, and I am all sniffly and stuff, so Mom is freaking out because she thinks something is wrong. So I have to explain that Leo just died and this is why am in a hissy fit. That was awkward. Haha. So anyway, I am in no way tired. I have a feeling by daylight I may be. Oh well, at least I don't have school tomorrow. Haha. So I'm going to go back to burning CD's. I am on 6 or 7 now I think. It's 4:01. Wow. It feels like 11. Maybe I am just wierd. (No comments on that please)

Partying

Well, I have two Rachel's at my house right now. Rachel Hezakiah and my next door neighbor are both over. We have already pigged out. We have eaten pizza, cheesesticks, and some brownies along with almost 2 liters of Dr.Pepper. We're watching the Friends Series Finale and then we are watching Titanic!! WOOHOO!! We are saving the Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream for later. Because:
  1. We are all stuffed.
  2. I need comfort food while watching the Blue Smurf Boogers scene.

So, anyway, in gym today I made a TOUCHDOWN!!! Woot! That's a miracle, because I am in no way athletically gifted or average. Haha. And I went to see Rachel's kittens today. They are soo cute!! Well, anyway, I am going now so I can watch the best movie on earth! BYE!! (or as me and Mistie say good-bye- "NEVER LET GO!!!")

Song that has been stuck in my head

Nicole Nordeman
I Am

Pencil marks on a wall, I wasn't always this tall
You scattered some monsters from beneath my bed
You watched my team win
You watched my team lose
Watched when my bicycle went down again
And when I was weak, unable to speak
Still I could call You by name
And I said, Elbow Healer, Superhero
Come if You can
You said, I Am

Only sixteen, life is so mean
What kind of curfew is at 10pm?
You saw my mistakes
And watched my heart break
Heard when I swore I'd never love again
And when I was weak, unable to speak
Still I could call You by name
And I said Heartache Healer, Secret Keeper
Be my best friend
And you said, I Am

You saw me wear white by pale candlelight
I said forever to what lies ahead
Two kids and a dream, with kids that can scream
Too much it might seem when it is 2am
And when I am weak, unable to speak
Still I will call You by name
Shepherd, Savior, Pasture Maker
Hold onto my hand
You say, I Am

The winds of change and circumstance blow in and all around us
So we find a foothold that's familiar
And bless the moments that we feel You nearer

When life had begun, I was woven and spun
You let the angels dance around the throne
And who can say when, but they'll dance again
When I am free and finally headed home
I will be weak, unable to speak
Still I will call You by name
Creator, Maker, Life Sustainer
Comforter, Healer, my Redeemer
Lord and King, Beginning and the End

I Am
Yes, I Am

In Memory

I know I already put this video on once, but because today is the 5-year anniversary of my Grandma Ryan's death, I thought this was appropriate. She always loved this movie, especially this part.

Sleepover!!

Tomorrow is gonna be so fun!! My best friend, Rachel, is coming over to stay the night. Me and my mom just got back from the grocery store. Here's what we bought:
  1. 2 pints of Ben and Jerry's Peanut Butter Cup Ice Cream
  2. Little Debbie Fudge Brownies (to make the tropical brownie dessert that me and Rachel made up)
  3. Frozen Raspberries (also for the dessert)
  4. Cinnamon Rolls
  5. 2 Liter Dr.Pepper
  6. 2 Liter Coca-Cola

So I called Rachel and gave her the huge list to which she said, "Two words. Sugar buzz." lol. So that should be fun. My fantastic fourth-cousin-twenty-eight-times-removed, Mistie, is letting me borrow Titanic. YAY!! Ben and Jerry and Leo. How great is that? Speaking of Leo, well, actually I have two things pertaining to my beloved Leonardo.

  1. I am ecstatic about English Class at the moment! We are starting Romeo and Juliet next week (which I loooooooove, by the way) And my wonderful teacher, always apt to give us things that we can apply the book to said that we will be watching clips of the 1970's version and the 1990'S VERSION!!!! WOOHOO!!! (In case you didn't know, Leonardo DiCaprio is in that.) So, that will be the second Leo movie that we have watched clips of in my English class (we watched the dinner scene of Titanic at the beginning of the year when we were learning about comparing and contrasting) I love English now.
  2. Rachel's cat had 5 kittens last night. So she has informed me that my job for the next 6 weeks is to convince my parents to let me have one of them. I wasn't to excited about this at first, seeing as my beloved Eva met an early death from our present cat. But then I got attached to the idea. Darn. So anyway, how does this pertain to Leo. I am so keen on the idea that I already have names for the cat if I get it. Nessarose for a girl and Leo for a boy. Special huh?

I LOVE HOMESTAR!!!!!

This is from Homestar Runner. I love it! THIS IS SO FUNNY (and a bit stupid)!!!!

It's Elphie!!!

This is my baby/hamster, Elphaba, also known in our household as Elphie. This is also my background image on my computer account. I took this picture last night. The reason I had a camera in my pigsty of a room was because Elphie was proving that she is not the brightest rodent to grace the planet. She was trying to climb on top of her wheel and so she had her paws on the outside and pushed the wheel down. Well, she is not a very fast learner and kept spinning the wheel with her front paws for about 5 minutes. lol. Of course when I came in with the camera she quit. Arrrgggh. Well, anywhooooo...This is my only begotten hamster (unless u count her late sister) in whom I am well pleased, although she isn't that bright and hisses at me whenever I pick her up. lol

Back by popular request

Hahaha...I'm not really popular. I just got an e-mail from my adopted grandmother (aka.Sis.Jewel) asking where I have been. Well, the answer to that is absolutely nowhere. I have just been extremely busy. Homework, tests, and (in the words of the king from the King and I) "Etcetera! Etcetera! Etcetera!" haha. So not too much to report. If you have been reading my dad's blog you will know that I am typing this on the flippin' sweet new computer. It is awesome!! That's about the most exciting thing going on in my life at the moment. Well, that and tonight me and Mom are making this Greek themed meal. She made Baklava, Lamb Kabobs, Spinach Rolls, and all that good stuff. And she made me look up how to set a table correctly. We have THREE forks out!! And it looks all fancy. I'm so proud of myself. So anyway, in celebration of that special Greek dinner we are doing tonight, here is a clip of Greece...well at least something sounding like that....

Oooh..I got burned!!

Well, this is somewhat of a parody of a phrase that we use quite a bit at MVHS. The phrase "ohh! Man, you got burned!" Means that an insult that should cause ddep pain or humiliation has just been recieved by the person that the phrase is directed at. Well, mine is more literal than this. We had yet another bomb threat today at the dear high school and we were all on the front lawn waitng for clearence to go back inside. Well, there is NOOOOOOOOOO shade out there so I got a fair sunburn . It hurts. Ouch. Well, this weekend is a four day weekend, and tomorrow, my best friend wants me to come over and watch Titanic (of course, i will have to FORCE myself to do that.lol) Anyway, she's been palanning for me to come over for about a week and today I noiced the irony of this. Tomorrow is the 94th anniversary of Titanic sinking. So we were sitting on ther bus discussing the irony of "If you stay the night tomorrow and we stay up watching Titanic, we would actually be watching the movie as it was happening 94 years ago." So I have been thinking about this. If events followed the movie at this time 94 years ago, Jack Dawson (*sigh*) would have been preparing to eat dinner in the 1st class dining room. lol.

A good day

Today was a fairly good day. Apparently that studying I did with Rachl paid off because I got an 80% on the test!!! YES!! In English , Tale of Two Cities is starting to get really good. I am 4 chapters ahead of where I am supposed to be. Me grades are fairly good right now. The lowest grade I have is a C- which is in Algebra and that will be remedied once the test is entered and I turn in the review sheet that I missed when I was sick. In science we watched a movie abvout the worst case scenario for that giant volcano under Yellowstone National Park. Luckily for us Ohioans, we would only get 1-5 centimeters of volcanic ash. Not good but better than some of the alternatives. lol. WEll, that's about it for today.

When you think you're having a bad day...

Another Post

Well, that's not all that detailed of a post but hey. I didn't really know what I was gonna write about. I still don't. That's not good. I'm listening to the Stand-up Comedy station on Launchcast and not much else. I've finished all my homework and I don't have anything else to do. Today I went to my friend Rachel's house because we were supposed to study because I have an algebra test tomorrow. Well, we ended up studying in the car and at Penney's because her mom her go to get a new outfit for her cousin's wedding. They never by skirts so it was funny because they kept asking me what I thought because "you buy skirts all the time". It was kind of funny. They had one really cute outfit. It was this really long flowy green skirt, a tank top, and a short sleeve white jacket. Her mom had settled on it and then when Rachel went back to change to leave, her mom brought back 5 outfits!!! So her mom decided that she liked another outfit, so we were taking it to the check-out and her mom says "Oh, never mind. We'll just come back a different day." So we were there for almost an hour and they never did settle on an outfit. We ended up going to Hardee's and I got a cheeseburger and mint-chocolate-chip milkshake. They were really good. Well, what I tasted of my cheeseburger at least. Because I brought it home, and was sitting on the porch with one foot under me, my foot got caught in my skirt and I fell down the stairs on my porch. My hamburger flew out of my hands and my dog ate it. That wasn't fun. The milkshake was delicous though. Well, here's the clip of the day I guess. Hope you enjoy it. It's from Pirates of the Carribbean. hahaha. Sooooooooooo funny. Enjoy!

Do-nothing period

I'm in science right now, as loose as that term may be. We're in the computer lab and the program that we're supposed to be working on is zapped on all but 3 computers. So obviously 20 something kids can't revel in the fascinating subject that is plate tectonics on 3 computers. So we are delighting in the "forbidden fruits" instead. Such as e-mail, which is usually a no-no in subject labs. But some days, like today, we can!! YAY!! Ode to the free period. LOL. In the meantime, because YouTube is blocked, a funny picture.

P.S. Those of you who LOOOOOOOVE when celebs give their kids terrible names, enjoy this. Gwyneth Paltrow who already should have lost her naming rights by naming her first child after a rosy red fruit (Apple), has just name her other son Moses. I have nothing against the name Moses, but I mean come on!!! Moses Martin? That's just bad. Apple and Moses. That goes right up there with the rocker who named his daughter Moon Unit (my friend, Shayley, just told me that)

Funny

Lazy Days

I've been recovering from the flu the past couple of days so I haven't been able to go anywhere. I have ached and just felt sick since Thursday afternoon. Well, my one of my best friends, Rachel, came over yesterday to see if I was ok and we talked for a little bit but today she called and was picking on me again.
Me:Hello?
Rachel:Hi Loser
M:Yeah, I know who this is now.
R:haha. Ok, I have to gloat. Guess what I am Tivo-ing right now?
M:What?
R:Guess.
M:NO!! It's not..you wouldn't be that mean!
R:What?
M:Titanic?

Well, apparently she would be that mean. I guess it's an HBO special or something because apparently it was on during spring break too. Well, I am supposed to come over sometime and watch it. I have been thriving off of clips from YouTube while I've been sick, because I don't own Evita or Titanic. So I have to make do with little bits and pieces. Well, here are some clips. The first one always makes me bawl...except for when it is isolated like this. You can't really get the whole essence of it. Sis.Jewel, am I right? Is this first clip sad?

*sniffle* Ok, here's a clip that is not so sad from Evita.

Stupid Stories a la Mistie

I have a fourth cousin who goes to our church who I am probably closer to than any of my other cousins. Well, because of traveling and all, I hadn't seen her in 2 or 3 weeks and I saw her at church tonight. Well, we were talking and stuff and discussing my vacation. She asked what I did and I said I went shopping and out to eat and watched movies. So we discussed what movies I watched and then we were talking about Titanic. When I mentioned this movie she busts out laughing. I ask "What's so funny?" So she goes, "Ok, you remember the part where Leo dies and they zoom in on his face?"(Of course I do. I was travailing BOTH times that I watched this.)
"Yeah....why is that funny?"
"Well, I went to go see it when it was in theaters and when I went the auditorium was packed. I went with about 3 or 4 of my friends and at this point, the whole "never let go" and such scene, and they are all bawling," (I was too, so what?)" and the entire auditorium is full of weeping girls. And you know what? I think I am the only one who did this. But I cracked up!"
"MISTIE!!! You laughed at that? That's so sad!!"
"I just couldn't cry."
"Why not?"
"Well, he's clinging to the board, he's blue, and he has all of those icicles on his face, right? Well, all I could think was..."(Brace yourself for this. It made me about die!)"Oh my lord, he looks like a smurf with boogers!"

Well, after this I about died laughing. I had to quickly get control of myself because church was starting (not an easy task by the way) but whenever I would look over, she would put her hands up like she was holding onto the board, stick her tongue out and roll her eyes in the back of her head. Hahaha. So when I left for Sr.Youth class she whispers "Just remember,Becky, smurf boogers" I was dying. I love my cousin!Another story she told me had something to do with "While we were shaving my friends dog" and that's all I remember because I was laughing so hard. There was also a story somewhere in there about some girl who was putting eyedrops in her eyes and ended up putting superglue in. I have no idea. Well, I have to go now.
