TGIF!!!!

OOOOOOOOOHHHH!!! SO GLAD IT IS FRIDAY!!!! 2 days off from torture... I mean gym. Giving my poor muscles a rest. LOL. I am so sore. Especially my legs. Coach had us run an extra 2 laps today because 2 people didn't turn in their homework.(I did turn in mine) The worst part is that he said that each day he is going to add one lap per. Meaning there will be 4 extra on Monday, 6 on Tuesday, etc. EEEEEK!! That's scary. I'm working on an essay for English. I have to tie Odysseus' journey in the Odyssey into man's journey through life using the traits- perserverance, courage, and self-confidence. I'm looking for examples of everday life examples of these traits. Leave me a comment if you know of some. I could use the help. I scheduled next year's classes today. I'm taking
  1. Spanish III
  2. English 10
  3. Biology I (blocked)
  4. Chemistry I (blocked)
  5. Geometry
  6. Gym
  7. Parenting (just for fun guys. if it was for anything real i wouldn't be alive to take that class!!)
  8. World Studies

I'm requesting Cunningham for Bio, Arnold for Chem, and Shriver for World Studies. I am so excited!!!

The sweet (?) smell of success

Gym class. My worst nightmare. It's actually not that bad anymore. Today we played matball and my team won 52-47! WOOHOO!! I actually scored 5 points too! and I ran 4 laps around the gym and survived!! THAT IS AN ACCOMPLISHMENT!! Oh, but am I sore! I woke up this morning and every muscle in my body screamed at me. Uggggh.... I really hope that gets better. But about the smell thing, the locker room is RANK!! I mean there are about 30 girls getting dressed after 40 minutes of workout. Did you think it would smell like roses? I didn't think so. Well, i'm afraid I don't have much time for a long post. Just wanted to update you about my life. I'm gonna go eat now. Type to you all later!

Teenage-Instant Messenger Speak

Sometime last week, me and my dad were e-mailing back and forth while I was in homeroom, waitning for lunchtime. My dearest CSG had just said that he would see if he could come to church with me (ugh, i just got one of those dumb pop-ups again) on the sunday night of the Family Rally (he was busy and didn't) but I was asking dad if we could pick him up if he ended up coming. When he said yes I left the following response-

yay! thanks dad! g2g. lunchtime! luv u.

My father did not understand this at all and just assumed that he was getting old (not at all dad, you're getting more youthful by the instant) and that i had said something good. As Liz interpreted it-

"Goodie! Thank you, Father! I must be going now. It is time for luncheon.
Affection!"

I couldn't have said it better my self.

My student 9HE teacher was amazed at how Instant Messenger has revolutionized the Englis language. Well, i dunno about that, but we do like to abbreviate stuff. I am a true IMer bcuz i use im spk outsd of pln ol im lol. (not quite to that extent) I do use my abbreviations outside of the Instant Messenger though. It makes life a lot easier.

I must be departing from thee now. I hath only seven minutes remaining on my session. Fare thee well all. Kiss, kiss. Hug, hug. I wil converse with you at a later time and date. Make a note with my secretary on the way out.

Nah...

g2g y'all. 7 mins left. bye. ttyl.

ID Woes

I am at the Franklin County Library right now. Be glad I am writing this post. Do you know how much suffering it took for me to get here? As you know, i live in Knox County. My aunt, whom i am staying with told me that there were internet computers but then I found out I had to have a Franklin County Library card. I don't even have my Knox one. This poses a problem because in order to get a "guest card" you have to have some ID. Think about this for a moment. I am 15. My school does not issue school ID's to freshmen and I do not drive (all of you can breath a sigh of relief, especially Grandpa Ryan and Aunt Julie who have seen me drive a car on tracks at Kings Island and nearly wreck it. That's pretty bad.) so how should I have an ID. Then this lady at the desk (getting very frustrated with me at this point) suggests maybe a house or car key. Now, not only have I explained that I do not drive (thus ruling out the car key) how in the world is a KEY supposed to ID me? So finally I dig through my purse as this lady glares at me, probably hoping if she stares long and hard enough, my head will explode, leaving only the janitorial crew to worry about me and my ID. So then I think, oooh my cell phone. The lady looks (semi) grateful for this "peace offering" (good lord it sounds like I am talking about trading with an unknown tribe) and then locks my phone away!!! WHAT?!?! She then explains that this is only for ID purposes and that I can have it back once I get off the computer (which I still have 28 minutes on according to this annoying little blinking window that I can't seem to get rid of. ok, 27 now) They are holding my cell hostage. What is with these people? Why can't it be as easy as Knox County with "Name, first and last. Blue computer. Miss Ryan you have 1 hour now. Thank you." Oh, and once I get logged into the computer, a process which consists of me typing in first a 10 digit "username" (more like usernumber) and a 4 digit PIN number, I then have to read all of these rules and regulations which have such advanced vocabulary that Albert Einstein would have difficulty reading (just skim and click agree) . So I am off to enjoy my remaining 23 minutes of precious computer time.

Next time I am just waiting until I get to my aunts house.

Up-to-date

well... i have not posted in a while so here's what's been happening. this past week i had EXAMS!! EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!! Scary... not as bad as i thought though. My dear mother was right about that, as she usually is (shhhhhhhhhhhh.... don't tell her i said that) My beloved health class is over. NOOOOOOOOOO!! It was a good send off though. Due to ice and snow in Mt.Vernon (now do u know why NC is so appealing?) my teacher made it into school about 30 minutes late. Nobody was even in the right seat at that point. Me and Rachel were talking to aaron on the complete other side of the room from where we sit normally. The basic conversation went something like this:
A=Aaron
R-me

a-hey
m- hola
a- steve got a new car (steve is his brother, he is a verrrry interesting charcater.)
r-really?
a-yeah. a mercury. a big ol granny car
r-awesomized
a- i was sooo scared we were gonna wreck
r- why?
a-well, u remember the accident we were in back around thanksgiving?
r- yeah..(neither of them were hurt but steves car was totaled)
a- well, before we wrecked he said something like "it feels like we're floating" and i go " oh dear lord we're gonna crash" and of course, we run into a pole
r-wow.
a-yeah, well today we're sitting in the car and he says the same floating thing again, so i'm like sitting in the car pleading for my life.
r-(laughs) so what happened
a-well, he didn't wreck but he did realize that "hey aaron, i can drive as slow as i want bcuz everyone behind me prolly thinks i'm like 70 and yelling "hurry up gramma!!"

at this point i am rolling. it was so funny. then of course there was rachel's hypothetical question-

"if me and the guy u like were on a bus and the bus veered off of a 1000 foot drop and u were guaranteed to survive, who would u save?"

*blink slowly* huh? well here was my answer-

"i would save u if u grabbed his foot. and if u "accidentally" drop him or if u "forget" then i would drop u and use my super powers to save him."

To this my friend nikki said-

Nikki- when did u get super powers?
me- its a hypothetical question
nikki- so?
me- do u know of any 1000 foot drops around mt.vernon ohio?
nikki- true dat. ur right
me- i know. i'm genius.

Aaron said

aaron- well rachel crescimanno is a secret FBI agent and would save the whole bus
me- i'm the only one guaranteed to survive
aaron- oh. well, that stinks
me- not for me!
aaron- shut up

lol. i love hypothetical questions

I HEART MY SITE!!!!!

TEEHEE..... My blog is so stinking awesomized... I LOVE YOU LIZ!!!!! Liz redid my blog for me. Leave her comments telling her how awesome she did guys....

A bad day

I'm not having the best day on earth.I had to stay up till 1 AM yesterday doing my 9HE project, thanks to my procrastinating nature. As a result of this I did the unthinkable. I FELL ASLEEP IN HEALTH CLASS!!! so sad.We had a guest speaker and I could not keep my eyes from closing and I apparently dosed off for about 5 minutes. The most embarassing part was that I woke up by jumping high into the air and coming down with a crash. Miss Kennon gave me a death look and I have been wide awake ever since. hahaha. On top of this, this morning my celll and digital camera disappeared from my pocket. I still don't know what happened. I turned in an incident report and all and now all I can do is wait to see if I can find it. PRAY!!!! I don't know if they got stolen or just fell out. My money was still in my pocket, so i don't think i was robbed. I'm in science class and the bell is going to ring any minute so i'm gonna go. but first..

1. Stop buying anything because i want to go to europe this summer
2. Use more of clearasil and hopefully my face will get better
3. Get rid of alot of the junk in my room
4. Change my attitude. maybe i'll live to see 16. hahaha
5. Concentrate on school and maybe i'll get that scholarship and admission to the Akron-Neoucom 6 year med program
6. Try to be more dedicated to my school work

there you go liz. It's done.

99th post!!!

Welp, this is my 99th post. In the words of Rachel Ray, How cool is that? LOL. I'm at the library waiting for my mom to pick me up. I was doing some research for school. How fun. I found what I needed pretty quick so now I'm just goofing off. Checking my correo electronico and such. Not much going on. I finally figured out why my dig. camera doesn't work sometimes. It doesn't have a flash so it will only take pics in well lit places. Well, that helps. I'm thinking about taking it to school on monday. That reminds me, I am so bummed. Health class is over on the 19th!! NOOOOOO!! Say it ain't so! That means no CSG! Bummer. I don't have any other classes w/ him either. That really stinks. like, more than words can say. i hate it. ARE U GETTING IT NOW?!?!?!?!? LOL. Well, since not much is going on, I'm gonna go now. Bye!

To: U know who u are (prev. posted on xanga, bebo, and tagged)

Before I drop the subject, although it isn't even the issue anymore, I'm putting this out. If you can go and put an article saying how bad my opinion is and everyone can think it's ok I can do the same-

Xmas (or X-mas) is an abbreviation for Christmas. It is derived from the Greek word ×ÑÉÓÔÏÓ, transliterated as Christos, which is the origin of the English Christ. Greek is the language in which the New Testament is generally believed to have been written.
Originally, in "Xmas", X represented the Greek letter ÷ (see
chi). It was pronounced with an aspirated [kh], which is the first letter of Christ's name in Greek. An upper-case ÷ has the same shape as a Latin alphabet letter X, hence the abbreviation "Xmas".
It seems Christmas has been abbreviated for at least the past 1,000 years. Before Xmas, there was XPmas, according to Inge Milfull, assistant editor of etymology at Oxford English Dictionaries (OED). She found references in the Anglo Saxon Chronicle as far back as 1021 and says the P was probably dropped later. XP, or the Greek Letters ÷ (
chi) and ñ (rho) is an ancient abbreviation for Christ (see Labarum) and is still widely seen in many Eastern Orthodox icons depicting Jesus Christ.
As origins of the word go largely unnoticed by the larger public, many people believe that the term is part of an effort to "take Christ out of Christmas" as a means of
secularization or a vehicle for pushing political correctness, or as a symptom of the commercialization of the holiday (as the abbreviation has long been employed by retailers). This notion is greatly disputed.
The occasionally seen belief that the X represents the
cross Christ was crucified on has no basis in fact; St Andrew's Cross is X-shaped, but Christ's cross was probably shaped like a T or a †. Indeed, X-as-chi was associated with Christ long before X-as-cross could be. The use of X as an abbreviation for cross in modern abbreviated writing (e.g. "Kings X" for "Kings Cross") may have reinforced this assumption.
In ancient Christian art ÷ and ÷ñ (Chi Ro--the first two letters in Greek of Christos) are abbreviations for Christ's name. In many manuscripts of the New Testament and
icons, X is an abbreviation for Christos, as is XC (the first and last letters in Greek, using the lunate sigma); compare IC for Jesus in Greek. The Oxford English Dictionary documents the use of this abbreviation back to 1551, 50 years before the first English colonists came to North America and 60 years before the King James Version of the Bible was completed. At the same time, Xian and Xianity were in frequent use as abbreviations of "Christian" and "Christianity".
The abbreviation is widely but not universally accepted; some view it as demeaning to Christ, whilst others find it helpful to use in text messages and emails and quickly handwritten notes to save space. Similarly, Xianity is sometimes used as the abbreviation for
Christianity (although this usage is much less common than "Xmas"). This usage has extended to "xtal" for "crystal", and on florists' signs "xant" for "chrysanthemum" (though these words are not etymologically related to "Christ"; "crystal" comes from a Greek word meaning "ice", and "chrysanthemum" from Greek words meaning "golden flower", while "Christ" comes from a Greek word meaning "anointed").
