Pictures
I was looking at some pictures of me and my old boyfriend that were taken before the breakup and a couple from before we were even dating. I also read some of the letters and e-mails. This was a big mistake. There were 2 pictures that especially got me. I have this tiger picture frame that has never been used for anything but pictures of Jordan and me. It always sits on my nightstand. Well, tonight I was showing my grandpa pictures from camp and I had to take the newest picture out to show him. It was taken on our 3 month anniversary exactly one week before we broke up. We looked really happy and I don't think either of us suspected that the end was near. Plus he has this real goofy smile that he has when he's getting a picture taken. Not at all like his real smile which I also have a picture of, but still really cute. Right underneath this picture in the frame was a picture taken exactly 1 year ago yesterday. Same goofy smile and we look just as happy. It's funny how we look the same in those two pictures even though the circumstances were completely different and a year apart. I don't get it how we were happy just being friends then and only one of us is enjoying being just friends now. I mean, I like being friends and everything but it's just not the same. I don't know. All I know is I was so excited when I started the dating thing but now I hate it!!!

I think we should just be friends...
My family was out of town this week and I left my cell phone behind while we were gone for the weekend. I'm working camp again and I had left the phone in my motel room. My roomate was there and when she told me that the voicemail icon was flashing I went into cardiac arrest. When the voicemail icon flashes it means you have an urgent message. I was so scared! I finally calmed down a little bit and listened to my voicemail. 2 of the messages were from my grandma and 1 was from my ex. He never called my cell while we were dating so the call came as a shock. He called to tell me how sorry he was for hurting me and how what he did wasn't right. He also said he hoped we could be friends again. We were best friends for about 5 months before we started going out. He wanted to start over. So I've been hanging out with him today and I am so much happier.

I almost forgot...
Last night I forgot to put my worst breakup line. It beat all of the other breakup lines in the pit.*drumroll please*
"She's not my girlfriend." referring to the girl who doesn't know that you've dumped her yet.

Top Breakup lines (with comments
1. It's not me, it's you (no that is not a typo)
2. Well, it was nice knowing you.
3. She's just a friend.. with benifits
4. It just isn't there anymore (what isn't?)
5. 5 minutes was too long in this relationship (ow. I actually heard this one)

Breaking Up
I got dumped this past week. I hate this part in the relationship, but then again I don't really think it's a picnic for anybody. I was working at camp when it happened and so was he. After we fought and broke up I ran to the workers room ("the Pit") crying and we were exchanging bad breakup lines. I am about to post the top breakup lines I have learned this week. Hope you enjoy them and hope you don't have to use them any time soon.

Sad Soldier Story
This is a really depressing story I heard in one of my camp classes. Since It's July 4, I thought I would tell a veteran story....
A young soldier calls home to tell his parents that his military discharge has been arranged and he will be coming home soon. He has one small favor to ask though. He has met a friend in the war who has no family and no place to go when he leaves. He has also lost an arm and a leg in battle. "Mom," he says,"I would like to bring my friend home. He has no place to go. Could we please care for him?"
"No, son," the mother replies, "It would just be too much work. We just can't have an injured person around the house. It would be too much trouble."
The two hang up and the mother prepares for her sons homecoming. The day before the son is to come home, his mother gets a phone call from a local hospital, telling her that they think that they have her sons body. He had jumped off a bridge and she needed to come and ID the body. When she got to the morgue they pulled back the sheet. She gasped. The man was missing an arm and a leg.
Remember those who gave all for our freedom today. Keep their families in your prayers and never take what we have for granted.

The First Fight
Since I just recently got my first boyfriend, I'm beginning to learn that not everything about having one is so wonderful. We just had our first fight Thursday. The wierd thing is, the next day I had no clue what we fought about. It obviously wasn't that important. Things were so much better today (I've been at camp which is why me and him get to spend time together) He came up when I was unsuspecting and dumped a bottle of ice cold water on my head, I screamed and he yelled " Love you, Becky!" (being sarcastic) So me being the quick thinker I am, got 2 bottles of ice cold water , dumped them on his head and said "Love you, too!" It was pretty funny to watch.
