You'll have to wait...

I'm not going to post about my week at camp at the second. I have too much going on right now. I'm in a state of shock.

Last night, after a powerful church service, I had a voicemail from Dawn. The voicemail was about my friend Tiffany. She had been taken to the hospital by her parents because she was having trouble with her breathing and now she was in ICU in critical condition. There was a chance that her cancer was back.

I sat there in shock. I called Dawn back immediately and then rushed off to find my youth group friends. I found Heather McCartney, formerly Wilkinson, and she had just gotten the news. We both cried. I called Mistie bawling. Heather and I found Larissa and Brittany and went in to the staff banquet room and Heather told Bro.Ellis, our youth president, what had happened. The staff prayed for us.

I didn't sleep last night. Neither did Heather or Brittany. I called Dawn at lunchtime and she gave me an update.

Right now, my worst fears are being realized. The doctors have given Tiffany only a couple of days. The cancer is in her lungs and it's in it's most advanced stage. I went to go see her tonight before I left for Defiance. I was definately not prepared for what I saw at all. I had never been in an ICU room before. Tiffany right now is not the Tiffany that I know. I do not recognize the person that I saw in that bed tonight.

They transferred her to OSU tonight and are going to then send her to the James Cancer Clinic.

As for right now, I'm scared out of my wits. This girl is one of my friends. She's 24. 24! That's it. Nobody should have to go through something that agonizing, especially someone who hasn't had a chance to live their life.

If you read this, I am begging you to pray for Tiffany. She needs all the prayer she can get. Pray for her healing. Pray for comfort for her family and her friends during this time.

I will post updates as I get them.
